  2. Purpose: The purpose of the AGC Textbook Policy Committee is to review the existing GRCC Textbook Policy and make recommendations for improvements. Process: The committee will consider best practices at other institutions, implications of the Higher Education Opportunity Act, rising costs in textbooks, emerging technological changes in the delivery of content, and other relevant issues. Outcome: A new and revised GRCC Textbook Policy

  4. Approval of purpose, process, and outcomes by Provost Gely. Solicitation of committee members via Department Heads and Program Directors. Forming of committee. Solicitation of feedback on the current policy by faculty via Department Heads and Program Directors. Benchmarking against policies at other colleges. Development of new policy recommendation draft. Feedback from AGC and other parties of interest. Finalization for vote of recommended policy. Process Steps

  5. Share with your departments. Direct all feedback to fconner@grcc.edu or rleunk@grcc.edubefore April 19, 2013. Committee will consider recommendations and make revisions to policy. Policy will be presented to AGC. AGC will vote on Policy April 23, 2013 Next Steps
