BNC for Coaxial Cable • 10Base2 and 5 • 10megabits per second (Mbps) • 200 – 500 metres
RJ45 for Ethernet Cable (e.g. Cat5) • Cat5 – 10/100 Mbps • Cat5e/Cat6 – 1000 Mbps • 100 metres
SC, ST and LC for Fibre Optic Cable • 100 Mbps; 1 Gbps - 50 Gbps • Can run across kilometres
