Battery Specifications • eMTA installed with a Lithium Ion Battery • Manufacture’s Specifications: • 6-8 Hours of Stand By Time • 4-6 Hours of Talk Time • Times may vary based upon customer interactions • Comcast Replaces the Battery free of charge to the Customer • Depleted Battery take 10 hours to Fully Recharge • Battery Status Alerts/Indicators: • Monitors the status of the battery

  5. Customer Premise Continuity • Customer Education • Keep eMTA Plugged into a Dedicated Electrical Outlet • Do Not Leave Battery out of eMTA • Comcast will Make a Second Battery Available if Requested

  6. Additional Power Backup Options • Uninterrupted Power System (UPS) • Approximately $200 for Retail Outlets • Limited time • Gas Generator • Continuous Power Backup if refilled

  7. E911/ENS Continuity During Outage • Generator at headend-switching facilities • Batteries installed at network power supplies with mobile backup generators • eMTA Batteries at the customer premises
