Expression of Interests for WTE projects • Expression of Interest Published in July 22, 2013 in local and international press • Published in Gulf international, Zamaan Turkey, Daily China & international websites and Pakistani newspapers • EOI Validity was till September 15, 2013 • Seventy (70) companies were contacted by the LWMC • Twenty Nine (29) companies submitted their EOIs. Expression of Interests for WTE projects (Cont.) • Twenty (20) companies are being shortlisted and Letter of acceptance are sent to all 20 companies as yet. • These companies are called for meeting with MD LWMC for further proceedings.

Engagement of consultant and capacity building of LWMC • Eight (08) Consultants/companies have shown interest in WtE project in Lahore and submitted their Proposals. Technical evaluation of all the consultants is done. • BOD of LWMC principally approved in its meeting held on 16-09-2013 to build the capacity of LWMC for WTE projects and hiring of consultants Technical Evaluation of consultants
International consultant • Professor Nickolas J Themelis has been selected • His services will be backed by the firm M/s Ecoair • Vast experience of WTE projects • US $ 27,500/- for four weeks of assignment • Consultant is expected to be mobilized in 2nd week of October 2013. TORs CV
Time lines • Review and Screening of EOIs for WTE Technologies by 3rd week of October 2013 • Int. consultant on board by 2nd Week of October 2013. • Preparation of technical feasibility by January 2014 • Start of construction of project by June 2014 • Start of production of electricity by April 2015

Waste to Energy proposal by Hitachi Zosen INOVA-Japan • State of the art Thermal waste Treatment plant – Grate fired incineration • Maximum output of 11.4 MW • 600 tons of feedstock per day • Total investment of US$ 3,600,000 • Commissioning start October 2015 • First waste fire January 2016
Waste to Energy proposal by Salman Associates • State of the art Combustion plant • Maximum output of 4 MW • 100 tons of feedstock per day • Total investment of 3.75 Million €
