JURASSICCOAST: THE STORY A World Heritage Site is a natural or cultural feature or area which has such ‘universal value’ that it is regarded as the heritage of all mankind Unique areas, assessed and designated by UNESCO* *United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization

The Walk Through Time What makes the coast unique is that the cliffs and foreshore between Exmouth in East Devon and Studland Bay in Dorset contains 185 million years of Earth History in just 95 miles of coast
The Vision Our fundamental vision is that World Heritage Status in Dorset and East Devon will: • inspire people to celebrate, appreciate and enjoy the World Heritage Site, and to safeguard it for future generationsin the best possible condition become a vibrant strand of the life of Dorset and East Devon, benefiting local people, visitors and the environment throughout the area
