  2. Complete the political issues survey on page 11 of your guided notetaking packet. Please do this work on your own and respect your colleagues' privacy. When done, begin reading sections 7.4 and 7.5 and complete pages 1 and 2 of the packet.

  6. CARE Workshops: Gender Objective: To explore gender roles and to encourage acceptance of self. 6 Boxes Activity: During this activity, it is important that you show respect for differences, confidentiality, and for taking risks.

  7. Overview/Directions:  This is a silent activity. Get out a piece of paper and fold it lengthwise (hotdog), and then fold into thirds. Open it up, and you should have 6 boxes. Number the boxes 1-6. Draw a response to prompt #1 in Box 1, response to prompt #2 in Box 2, and so on. Your drawings can be symbolic or representational of an idea.

Quality you would change about yourself. 4. A time when you were categorized or stereotyped because of your gender. 5. List names you have been called when you did not fit into traditional gender roles. 6. What is a quality about you that crosses gender lines?

Constitution are specifics from the Constitution. SCOTUS is a Supreme Court case applied. ADV/how is an explanation of how the right should be protected or limited. ADV/2SCOTUS or ADV/leg is a second Supreme Court Case or legislation that impacts the right. Add constructive commentary and suggestions and SIGN!

Factors that Affect Voter Turnout Objective: To examine data on voter turnout from the Census Bureau and attempt to determine what are the factors that affect voter turnout and consider what impact these have on our political system. Part 1: Compiling Statistics Directions: You are going to work with 2 partners. Using the various figures and tables provided from the Census Bureau, respond to the questions from the part one: Factors that Affect Voter turnout (blue sheet) on your own paper.
