  2. Desire fuels our search for the life we prize. Ephesians 5:14 “Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead.” People today are camped in places of resignation or indulgence, or trapped in prisons of despair.

  3. To desire is to open our hearts to the possibility of pain; to shut down our hearts is to die altogether. We suffer the violation of indifference on a daily basis.

  4. Jesus knew to what lengths we would go to seek satisfaction of our soul’s hunger. Romans 7:20-23 Galatians 5.17 “For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit …they are in conflict with each other…”

  5. Jesus always offers enough bread for everyone, and healing for every brokenness. John 10.9-10 “…anyone who goes through me will be cared for…”

  6. Luke 15.28-32 The older brother is the picture of the man who has lived his entire life from duty and obligation.
