Maintaining Property Records Overview • Department consists of: • 2 inventory Controllers • Student Recorder • Supervisor • Director • Process starts when Purchasing Department sends Pos • Process ends when correct tag is placed on departments equipment.
Objective • The objective of the WSU Lean Manufacturing Team is to: • Identify opportunities for improvement • Improve workflow • Provide better service to Wayne State departments. • This was accomplished by observing and analyzing the current state of the process.
Project Charter • Problem Statement: In order to identify opportunities for improvement, which can improve workflow and provide better service to Wayne State departments, the lean group will analyze observe and analyze current state of the process related to maintaining property records for the University. Recommendations of future will be provided to our sponsor. • Scope: At the purchase order where transaction coming into the Fixed Asset System to tag being assigned into the Banner System.
