Jumpstart • Turn Into the basket: • Student Survey (red sheet) • Syllabus signature sheet (red sheet) • Money for notebooks DIRECTLY TO ME, • not the basket (IF you can) • Take out the following and put it on your desk: • “All about me” drawing • Glue stick if you have one already • Take a “Jumpstart Page” from Lab Bench #1 or #8 • Answer the following in the first box: (don’t copy the Q!) • One thing in chemistry that I am looking • forward to is _________. • 2) One thing I am a little bit nervous about in chemistry is __________.

  6. p. 10 “Left vs. Right” processing activity Draw a picture that explains what goes on the right side, and what goes on the left side of the notebook. You may use words, but only if they are part of your picture. You may not just write sentences! This is a drawing activity. You must use at least 4 colors!

  7. p. 14 • “Syllabus Outline” • processing activity • You will outline the first two pages of the syllabus and Academic Honesty section on page 3 (including the consequences for academic dishonesty). • Use at least 4 colors in your outline to help draw attention to different sections, or important points. • USE COLOR MEANINGFULLY!!! • YOU MAY NOT SIMPLY COPY THE SENTENCES I ALREADY WROTE!!! Put it in your own words. You don't even need full sentences. It should take no more than this one page. SUMMARIZE!
