Rose distillery “Enyo Bonchev” • The company was founded in 1909 by Enio hadji Bonchev, who built one of the first rose distilleries. • Nationalized in 1947, the rose distillery continued functioning until 1967 as a museum. In 1992 the distillery was restituted to the heirs of Enio hadji Bonchev, who restored the distillery and brought it back to work, preserving the unique technology of rose oil production from the beginning of the century. • In 2001, 2005 and 2008 “Enio Bonchev Production” Ltd opened three more modern steam distilleries for rose and lavender distillation. Today the company is one of the leaders in the sector and is a worldwide acknowledged producer of rose oil, rose water and lavender oil. • Because of the interesting history of the company and the beautiful surrounding area, the distilleries are considered a great tourist attraction. The village of Tarnichene is situated at 25 km distance from Kazanlak on the way to Plovdiv. “Enio Bonchev” Ltd owns three more rose distilleries, as well as rose and lavender gardens in the village of Tarnichene, situated right next to the distilleries.

  5. Rose-picking In the period between the middle of May and the beginning of June you can witness the processes of rose-picking and the distillery of the roses and you can become a participant in the process of rose-picking yourself.

  8. Lavender campaign The lavender distillery can be observed within the period from the middle of June until the end of July. * The lavender is being harvested. To avoid accidents our guests can have a lavender experience by using souvenir wisps but without actual participation in the harvest.
