INTERSECTION WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT • How Distinguish if Trafficking: • Trafficker benefits from assault/abuse – generally monetary benefit, but can include in-kind benefits (food, drugs, pay off debt, etc.) • Not just in cases of adults – guardians or parents who take money from others who rape/sexually abuse minors • Can include gain from pornography, etc.
