  2. Lattice Method: 964 x 57 Count the number of digits in each factor. Draw that many rows & columns (964 has 3 digits so I have 3 columns. 57 has 2 digits so I have 2 rows.) 2. Write your factors so that there is one digit above each column and one digit to the right of each row. 964 5 7

  3. Lattice Method: 964 x 57 Draw diagonal lines from the top right corner to the bottom left corner in each box. 964 5 7 4. Multiply the numbers to fill in each box. Look above and to the right for your factors. The digit in the tens place goes to the left and the digit in the ones place goes to the right. 964 5 7

  4. Lattice Method: 964 x 57 Add the numbers up diagonally. Remember to carry when necessary! 964 1 5 7 5 4 9 4 8 6. Read your product from left to right. 964 x 57 = 54,948
