Sailfish • Top predators in the seas • Long sharp bill and sail shaped dorsal fin • Body grows to about 4 feet long • One of the fastest fish in the ocean • Diet includes: • Pelagic and benthic fish, squid, and octopus ("Swordfish & Billfish")

Blackfin Snapper • Red fish with yellow fins and white under-belly • Strong fighters • Live in very deep water • The young feed on plankton • The adults feed on shrimp and squid • Can live up to 57 years ("Gulf Red Snapper") ("All about saltwater blackfin snapper")

Banded Rudderfish • Start at less than 11 inches • Pattern of bands from eye to first fin • Once longer than 11” it becomes more blue • They eat smaller fish and shrimp • Prefer shallower water • Live on bottoms of the reef and in inshore channels ("All About Saltwater Banded Rudderfish")
