  2. The lofty building that adds knowledge Established in July 1956, college is affiliated to Panjab University and has produced students who have excelled in academics, sports and cultural fields. The college motto “Courage to Know” inspires the students to strive for and seek that which is best in thought, word and deed. The college has been accredited with ‘A Grade’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

  3. About the College The college offers both undergraduate and post graduate courses in fields of Arts, Science, Commerce, Computers. There are add -on certificate and diploma courses like web designing, guidance and counseling and disaster management

  4. Faculty The driving force at P.G.G.C.G.-11 is a highly qualified and dedicated faculty. The teachers attend various faculty development seminars and workshops to constantly upgrade their knowledge and to catch up with the latest theories and trends in their respective fields. A number of teachers have published articles in leading journals of the country and many of them are working on research projects too. The teacher- student rapport is well established and all teachers possess very friendly attitude towards the students.

  5. Infrastructure The college possesses a beautiful ambience and a friendly atmosphere. The college building is supported with lots of greenery all around. Laboratories for Sciences, Psychology, Home science, Geography and Functional English are well- equipped for practicals

  6. Various functions happen throughout year in the huge auditorium built in the heart of the college. The auditorium capacitates huge audience of 500. Proper lighting, air conditioning and a wide wooden stage add to the grace of the auditorium. A seminar room and a conference hall add to the infrastructure facilities.

  7. Standing apart is a massive library which spreads serenity and knowledge in the college environment. The College also provides students with a fitness centre.

  8. Whether a free lecture or the one which is bunked, the favorite hangouts on such occasions remain the snack bars --Purple and Nescafe. The chairs here don’t remain empty and your ears here, won’t remain empty too.

  9. Co-Curricular Activities Both the teachers and the students show keen interest in activities beyond the regular curriculum…talent hunts, competitions, music, dance and literary fests dot the calendar

  11. Social Activities What’s a college without any fun activities? Girls make sure that their stay in the college doesn’t descend into boredom. Excursions, field trips, social work, interactions and giggling with friends are the common things you would witness here.   17. Convocation A huge number of girls graduate from the college every year and shine in the bright light and enter into the wide world with great amount of knowledge. They stand apart from the crowd because they have the ‘Courage to Know’.
