  2. Declarative and Interrogative Sentences • A declarative sentence is a statement that tells about something. It ends with a period. • An interrogative sentence asks a question. It ends with a question mark. • Examples: • My cat Roxie loves to sleep on the couch. ( I am telling about my cat Roxie) • Do you like when your pet sleeps with you? ( I am asking a question)
