  2. Interrogatives • An interrogative pronoun is used to introduce a question. • Interrogative pronouns are who, whom, what, which, and whose.

  3. Using Who and Whom • Who is always used as a subject or a predicate pronoun. • Whowas president during the Civil War? • The winner is who? • Whom is always used as an object. • Whomdid you choose for your running mate? • You told whom our secret? • For whom did the caller ask?

  4. Using Who and Whom • DON’T CONFUSE “WHO’S” WITH “WHOSE!” • “Whose” is a pronoun and an interrogative. • “Who’s” is a contraction that means “who is.”

  5. Demonstratives • A demonstrative pronoun points out a person, place, thing, or idea. • Demonstrative pronouns are this, that, these, and those.
