  1. GAC and HRPT AVHRR Reprocessing to GHRSST PI: Peter Cornillon, University of Rhode Island NASA MEaSUREs project to reprocess GAC and HRPT AVHRR data streams to GHRSST-compliant SST fields. Data streams to be processed: Insert graphic or picture here • Global GAC data from all 5 channel AVHRR sensors for 1981 through present. • Western North Atlantic HRPT data for 1981-2001 • Eastern North Pacific HRPT for 1992-2000 • Western North Pacific HRPT for 1985-1999 This project has also written all Level 0/1 data to new media and has ported the University of Miami satellite data processing software to SeaDAS. Pathfinder Version 6 daytime SST for 16 May 2008 from NOAA 18. Cloud mask has not been applied. Relevance to NASA Impacts • Improve the quality of several SST historic climate data records. • Restructure these data records in the international standard for SST. • These data sets are being generated. The GHRSST-compliant Pathfinder Version 6.0 data are not yet publically available.
