Your satire can focus on anything such as social issues, politics, parents, school rules etc… • Decide whether to write in a Horatian or Juvenalian style • Your satire piece you must include a better way, don’t just make fun of the subject. The point is to create positive change. • Final length should be 1-2 pages • Additionally, you will need to write up a ½ page written defense stating what you were satirizing, why you chose it, which style you chose to write and what change you would like to see. • Check for spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors • Rough draft due Monday. Final draft due Tuesday typed! • Draft 25 + Final 50 + written defense 25 = 100 points
