What is the Seamless Summer Feeding Option? A food program offering a streamlined approach to feeding hungry children during the summer. A part of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. It combines the best features of the Summer Food Service Program and the NSLP/SBP.
Seamless Summer Benefits • Uses simplified NSLP regulations • Less paperwork • Simpler monitoring requirements • Same meal service rules and claiming process as NSLP • Same meal pattern options • Reimbursed at “Free Meal” rate* *At sites with ≥50% F/RP eligibility
Reimbursement Current NSLP/SSFO rates apply for service through June 30, 2012. NSLP/SSFO rates effective July 1, 2012 to be announced in Summer 2012. All meals served apply toward USDA foods entitlement at same rate as NSLP
