How the discussions about MDG’s • National Council for the Coordination of Social Policies-Presidential Unit • All around MDG’s is organized around the reports: Ministries of Social Affairs, Education, Labour, Economy, Planning, Science and Research, Health, Sustainable Development and Secretary of Childhood and Youth • General Assumption: The State must be the main actor in formulating and executing public policies. When NGOs and private sectors are included, it must be in this perspective.
Goal 2: Achieve universal basic education (including primary and secondary) • PrimarySchoolCompletionRate: 91% • SecondarySchoolCompletationRate: 44% • Many actions/programmes to improve these rates and gather educational goals including: • Cash transfer programs: universal protection • School Retention pedagogical programmes and scholarships • 2nd chance primary and secondary education • Training for work at secondary schools addressed to vulnerable populations • New technical education law, concerning secondary, tertiary and vocational training. Finnancing, curricula, institutional strenghening
