  2. What is NaNoWriMo? National Novel Writing Month happens every November! It's a fun, seat-of-your-pants writing event where the challenge is to complete an entire novel in just 30 days. For one month, you get to lock away your inner editor, let your imagination take over, and just create!

  4. The Challenge… • 12 Writers. • 3 novels • A minimum of 10,000 words each…in 30 days.

  5. The writers met in their lunch breaks, after school and at home to complete the challenge…

  6. Was it worth it? What did the writers get out of the project?

And finally…………….. • Moat Community College Writers Summer School • Monday 16th July to Friday 20th July – 10- 12 • Presenters will include • Meg Rosoff * Strange Fruit * East Mids Writers ……………and more • Application process in place – students need to submit a short piece of writing [300 words] and commit to attendance.
