Angle Addition Postulate • <ABC =300 & <CBD = 350 Then <ABD = ? A C A C D D B B B
Segment Addition Postulate • IfAB = 10 and BC =15 then AC =? B C B A A C
Types of Angles • Acute angles are angles that have a measure greater than 00 and less than 900 • Obtuse angels are angles that have a measure greater than 900 and less than 1800 • Right angles are angles that measure 900 • Straight angles are angles that measure 1800 (a line)
Coordinate Plane • Made up of two axis; x-axis (horizontal) & y-axis (vertical) • Axis intersect at the origin (0,0) • Breaks up a two dimension space into quadrants. Numbered 1-4. • Each point corresponds to an ordered pair (x,y)
Distance Formula • The distance d between two points A(x1,y1) and B(x2,y2) is • d=√(x2-x1)2 + (y2-y1)2 • Find the distance between (-3,4) (8,-6) & (4,8) (2,3)
Review • Vertical angles - What are they? • Angle Bisector – What is it? • Perpendicular bisector – What does it do?
