Programmatic Overview Region-wide program utilizing existing contractors: • Paxen • SIP • Telamon
Program Participants Approximately 100 Youth from the existing caseloads 25-30 hours per week to include Job Readiness sessions 6-8 weeks
Contract Modification Training for Contractors conducted by CWS Employer Recruitment/Worksite Development Registration and Orientation Job Readiness Acquisition of Work Permits, Drug Tests and Consent Forms Job Interviews/Placements Worksite Monitoring/Visits Processing of timesheets and wage disbursement Summer Youth Program Closeout Ceremony/Symposium Components and Planning
Cost Per Participant • Approximately $1500.00 per youth • 70-75% of the Cost per Participant will be paid directly to the youth
One-Stop Re-Certification The One-Stop Delivery System is responsible for administering the state’s workforce investment activities, education, and other human resource programs and funding streams. The One-Stop Operator offers services in a seamless and fully integrated fashion to provide better access to programsand services in order to improve long-term employment outcomes for individuals receiving assistance. The Coastal Workforce Investment Board, with the agreement of the Chief Elected Local Officials (Annual Meeting March 26th), must designate and certify One-Stop Operators in their local area. • The certification process will include: • The One-Stop operator submitting to the CWIB a business plan • Conducting an interview of the site and partner staff • Conducting an on-site review
One-Stop Business Plan • The business plan shall consist of the following: • A vision and mission statement • A diagram or narrative of customer flow throughout the tiers of services • Identification of the clear flow of services between all partners • Identification of the facility’s service delivery structure, i.e., location service mix and customer flow • Demonstration of a plan for increased enrollment in various programs and increased use of facilities • Identification of a system for referral to training services and use of ITAs • Identification of leveraged resources with various funding streams, educational grants, and other financial aid programs • Identification of a community outreach plan • Identification of all One-Stop partners and the ways in which services are integrated
