  2. What is ACM? • ACM is a vast network of professionals and students who share a common passion: Information Technology • The main goal of ACM is to help the world fully realise the potential of the science of computing • ACM is involved in several professional activities

ACM activities • Towards the previously stated goal ACM is involved in the following activities: • Organisation of worldwide conferences • Offering of more than 35 Special Interest Groups (SIGs) • Publication of renowned journal and magazines • Development of standards • Development of curriculum • Many other activities…

ACM student chapters • ACM student chapters provide an opportunity for students to take a more active part in the professional activities of ACM • A student chapter membership allows one to exercise leadership abilities, communication, team building skills… • But there are other benefits as well…
