  4. What is SYB? • SYB is a business start up training package • SYB guides potential entrepreneurs on planning their business • SYB provides knowledge and skills to develop a Bankable Business Plan

  5. Program history • The programme has originated in early 90s an ILO technical cooperation project in Fiji embarked on the development of the “Start Your Business” (SYB)

  6. Objective of the SYB • The objective of the SYB training intervention is to enable potential entrepreneurs with concrete business idea to develop a bankable business plan

  7. Target Group • Potential entrepreneurs with concrete business idea or having operated an own business for less than a year • Entrepreneurs who want to start a new business • Ability to read and write • Ability to do the basic calculations • Technical knowledge/Skills • Wilingness to pay for the training
