Key Facts – FRB Cash Planning • Priorities – During an event • High • Employee Safety • Paying out currency orders • Onsite - 40 day payable • Offsite - Strategic Inventory Locations (SIL) • DIs store currency in their vault- held on Fed books; 1 SIL for Memphis zone • FRB Buddy Banks – (For Memphis: St. Louis, New Orleans, Dallas, Atlanta) • Low • Accepting currency deposits • Coin transactions (deposits/orders)

Key Facts – Continued • Planning Categories – Scenarios we prepare for • Conduct business continuity workshops with local DIs, A/C and SCEM • Fed Inoperable • High absenteeism • Fed automation/equipment failure • Customer disruption that requires Fed action • Transport disruption that requires Fed action • Long-term disruption (LTD) - events lasting beyond 3 months • Preparedness – known event (i.e. storm) • Stay tuned to weather alerts affecting Southeast region • Timely Communication/Collaboration • With staff, DIs, ACs, hotels, buddy banks, CPO • Our Goal – be prepared to respond quickly and effectively

Business Continuity – What to expect from us • Extensive Communication through web channels • Frbservices.org • FLWeb broadcast message • Cash Industry Business Continuity website • Direct call from Fed (depending on disruption) • Response Actions • Extend dock hours • Buddy Bank/SIL Activation • Stem Runs – Fed sponsored run between buddy bank and specified drop point (i.e. armored carrier or DI); primarily for orders

Business Continuity – What we ask of you • Check for information updates via: • Frbservices.org • FLWeb • Cash Industry Business Continuity website (access required) • Contact Gregory Johnson for more information • Attempt to minimize the points of contact within your organization that may call the Fed office • Notify the Fed and your armored carrier of alternate site and/or revised hours of operation

Business Continuity – What we ask of you • Place only critical orders ($20s/$320,000 per cash pack) • Retain your excess currency (fit and unfit) – hold deposits • Exchange currency among your branches • Contact other depository institutions for cash services • Use your branches/cash vaults in other Federal Reserve zones to order and receive on your behalf • Keep contact lists current - update with key staffing changes
