  2. Unit Uses Seven Primary Technologies • Banner. A comprehensive application suite developed specifically for the Unit that supports admission, advising, student teaching, and administrative needs, now and as they evolve. Decisions about candidate performance are based on multiple assessments at admission into programs, appropriate transition points, and program completion. • Dispositions Database. An online Dispositions Form is used to gather, store, and report areas of concerns regarding candidate dispositions to the Office of Teacher Education Services. • Degree Works. Degree Works system is an electronic (web-based) report that reflects candidate academic and program progress. Candidate progress is monitored by faculty and staff each semester. Remedial services may be identified if adequate progress is not maintained. • TaskStream. TaskStream is an electronic data management tool. One purpose of the EKU College of Education Portfolio is to provide a vehicle within which each candidate documents growth, develops his/her unique capabilities, and begins the journey of lifelong reflective teaching and learning. In addition, the portfolio provides a means for Unit data collection and program evaluation in order to maintain the highest quality in educator preparation. • TracDat. All departments at Eastern Kentucky University use TracDat (a server-based software system) to record and track progress on student learning goals and objectives. Each unit enters its goals, objectives, measures, criteria for success, results, and use of results for improvement and follow-up into EKU’s TracDat system, from which the data are easily retrievable via a battery of standard and custom reports that articulate into EKU report formats. • Digital Measures. Activity Insight, adopted by the University, is an electronic (web-based) information warehouse used to store faculty curriculum vitae information (teaching, scholarship, and service) and information for promotion and tenure and annual/merit evaluations. • Data Dashboard. A web-based site for organizing Unit data.

  3. Banner System Oracle database, Forms, and Reports • Separate schema was developed in the University student system database. A module approach was used in creating the schema.
