Explored distance learning techniques in adult education 1999 AEP & Colin Dunn Provided a series of training for the unemployed E-WOW 1999 - 2001 AEP & BIC SNV PHARE ACCESS The project was to strengthen local craftsmen and to promote local product Project partners have been involved in over 30 projects to help the disadvantaged people!!!

  4. OBJECTIVES To increase women’s employability and thus create new opportunities on the job market through demonstration of a new model of employment: TELEWORKING

  5. TARGET GROUP Unemployed women with basic skills necessary for e-work (computer literacy), especially those who: • have to take constant care of their disabled children • are disabled • became unemployed after the maternity leave or child care break

  6. TARGET GROUP How have we reached the target group? • press and radio releases • cooperation with labour offices • through other NGOs • posters Communication means:phone, e-mail, interviews. More than 350 women involved!!!

  8. EXPECTED RESULTS The expected results include: • training method to prepare for teleworking developed • training materials (paper, CD) • database of women interested in becoming a teleworker • database of entrepreneurs interested in employing a teleworker

USABILITY FOR USER • evaluation questionnaires after each training session • knowledge provided was perceived as useful, encouraging and really preparing for the teleworking • training path identified and easy to follow by individual beneficiaries on their own • individual strengths and weaknesses identified • personal relationships established

DISSEMINATION STRATEGY • press & media releases • consultation with social partners • working together with women organisations • collaboration with labour offices and NGOs • website • newsletter to project stakeholders (March) • conference with project stakeholders (April) Dissemination across the whole project duration by ALL partners
