Other reasons for failure • poor brakes • defective parking brake • unsafe tires radial tires or snow tires or chains when road is snow covered • unreasonably unclean vehicle interior • missing seatbelts • a fast engine idle • .
The licensed driver must remain in the vehicle with the applicant at all times.
Applicants are prohibited from moving the vehicle, even in the road test lane, without the licensed driver in the car.
If the licensed driver does not hold a NJ license, the applicant can not drive to the road test or move the car while waiting in line.
