  2. Animals can be found almost everywhere. They live in very hot places. They live in very cold places.

  3. They live in the deep ocean. And high mountains.

  4. Some animals are very small and some are very large

  5. The differences in animals can be great. However……. All animals are alike in certain ways….. -animals are made of many cells -animals cells do not have cell walls -animals do not make their own food

  6. Why can’t animals make their own food??? Animals do not have chlorophyll in their cells

  7. Animals are classified into two major groups. - With backbones - Without backbones

  8. Animals without backbones are called invertebrates. Most animals in the world are invertebrates. In fact, 97% of the animal kingdom are invertebrates.
