OM 651 Objectives (1 of 2) 1.Be able to explain the strategic role of projects in the organization 2. Use contemporary tools and techniques for deciding which projects to undertake; then to plan, schedule, and complete projects. 3.Learn how to select and implement the organization design and managerial styles that will improve chances of project success. 4. Course Methodology • Like all Graduate Management courses, you will be involved in classes, a project (SMAC) and exam activities • Class activities will be team based, real world, and results oriented OM 651 - Dr. Coty Keller
Team Tasks - assigned during each class. Example • Analyze the Hector Gaming Company case. • Post your teams analysis of the case to the discussion board • Grading criteria: • a. Accurate use of concepts from the reading, • b. Effective written communications, • c. Following instructions, and • d. Creativity OM 651 - Dr. Coty Keller
Class Projects (SMACs) • Individual or group (if group, can be with people from other campus) • Ideas for OM 651 SMACs • Recommend a project for your organization • Create a project plan for your organization • Develop strategies and processes for managing a project at your organization OM 651 - Dr. Coty Keller
