Learning objective in Science from CDC All students should • be able to identify some of the characteristics of living things through the observation of an animal • show concern for the extinction of a variety of life forms • be aware of the effects of man’s activities on the environment • be willing to contribute to the protection of our environment and endangered species • appreciate the wonder of nature and show respect and care for all forms of life
School-Wide Objectives in AWE • The virtue of caring - Conservation • Collaboration - Teamwork • Communication - Interaction with others and expression of their ideas in an effective manner
Activity Specific Objectives in this programme • State the basic features of animals, e.g. Sea Jelly, Shark, Sea Lion, Sea Seal, and Giant Panda • Create a TV commercial about conservation • Develop positive attitudes and care towards nature
Information • Date : Pre AWE ~ 24/11 and 15/12 (2 Half Days) AWE ~ 2/2, 6/2 to 9/2 ( 5 Full Days ) Post AWE ~ 9/3 (Half Day) • No. of students : 60 ( Form 1 to Form 3 ) • No. of teachers : 3 • No. of instructors from Ocean Park : 5
Day 1 • Introduction of Instructors from Ocean Park • Brief description of 5-day activities • Teaching how to create a TV commercial about conservation • Grouping • Doing Ice-breaking activity (students of different forms)

Day 2 • Visit the living place of Sea Seal & Sea Lion
Day 2 • Visit the Jelly Fish Aquarium
Day 3 • Visit the Shark Aquarium
Day 3 • Talking about Endangered Species
Day 4 • Visit the Dolphin School
Day 4 • Brainstorming on a TV commercial regarding conservation “腦震盪”
Day 5 Interviewing visitors about the Panda Protection
Day 5 • Presentation of the TV commercial about conservation
