Early life • Benjamin Franklin was the 15th of 17 children. • His mother was Abiah • His father was Josiah • He was born January 17, 1706 • He only went to school one year • Apprentice to his brother James in publishing buisness
What he did as a leader • Benjamin Franklin Invented many things including: • Lightning rod • Franklin stove • Mapping the gulf stream • Swim fins • Glass armonica • Flexible urinary cathiter • Odometer • Long arm
Why he was a leader • Benjamin Franklin was a leader because he contributed a lot of stuff to the world like • His inventions • Mapping the gulf stream • Created a newspaper buisness and “poor richards almanac” When he created the newspaper buisness he used a fake name that was older because he was to young to publish his own newspaper • Signed the declaration of independence
