Fine Arts at Alix-MAC School Keeping Arts alive in a rural school setting Tammy Shapka, Wolf Creek Public Schools
Fine Arts Research clearly indicates that exposure to the arts increases the human brain’s ability to utilize both hemispheres creating the opportunity for our students to maximize their learning potential. Alix-MAC School is the ONLY school in Wolf Creek to offer a dedicated Fine Arts Program including a full band program from Grade 6 to 12 and a visual arts program from Grades 1 to 12. These programs exist because of parental, community and administrative support.
