Chapter 4.1b

Chapter 4.1b. More differentiation rate. Determine the following:. If A = r 2 , find dA/dt when r = 2 and dr/dt = 3. If A = 2 rh, find dr/dt when r = 2, h = 4, dA/dt=16, and dh/dt = 2. If r/3 = (h-4)/h, find dh/dt when r = 2, h = 12, and dr/dt = ½. Determine the following:.

  2. Determine the following: • If A = r2, find dA/dt when r = 2 and dr/dt = 3. • If A = 2 rh, find dr/dt when r = 2, h = 4, dA/dt=16, and dh/dt = 2. • If r/3 = (h-4)/h, find dh/dt when r = 2, h = 12, and dr/dt = ½.

  3. Determine the following: • If A2 = R2 + h2, find dA/dt when A = 10, R = 8, dR/dt = ½, and dh/dt = 1/3. • A particle moves along the curve y =(x2 + 1)1/2 in such a way that dx/dt = 4. Find dy/dt when x=3. • A particle is moving along the curve y = x2 in such a way that when x = ½, dx/dt = 2 ft/sec. Determine dy/dt.
