This workshop will: • discuss students’ engagement with assessment criterion • reflect upon my research which considered: what students do with assessment criterion and why • consider the applicability of this approach in different contexts.
Context • Participants • Year 2 undergraduate ITE KS2/3 (7-14) students male female total • ICT 17 5 12 • English 13 11 2 • Science 15 13 2 • Module: assessment and inclusion in the core subjects of English, maths and science. • Taught 1 x 1 hour ten minutes (by me for English) for 11 sessions in the autumn term. Assignment submission May 20th.
Context continued • Need to evidence Q standards for ITE • All tasks collaborative, 10-15 mins and took place at start of sessions • Marked anonymously
presentation of findings in relation to what students do with assessment criterion and why: • participants will analyse these and discuss implications for own practice
