  3. It was morning and I, Mae Tuck, am in jail and is about to be hung by the gallows. I know I can never die so people will be in an outrage and people will know about the spring. The Constable drops my breakfast on the ground and I craw to the gate to get it. I have ate my breakfast and it is about 11:00 a.m., I am about to be hanged. The Constable puts handcuffs on me and gets me out of my cell. As I walk up on the gallows I hear people screaming “ She is being put to justice”! I see my hole now and…..
