  3. Jurisprudence Requirement 2. Purpose • Public protection initiative • All that is legally allowed to test under Agreement on Internal Trade labour mobility laws • Ensures CDBC registrants know key aspects of legal, ethical and professional requirements for practicing dietetics in BC

  4. Jurisprudence Requirement 3. Development principles • Fair, reasonable and user friendly • Follows principles of adult learning: • learning must have meaning, be relevant and realistic • learn by doing, active involvement • learn best in an informal situation • Applicable, help them improve their performance in the workplace

  5. Jurisprudence Requirement 4. Online development • Online Guide and Exam developed by SkilSure to meet development principles • Four chapters: • Regulation of Dietetic Practice in BC • Registration • Quality Assurance • Professional Conduct

  6. Jurisprudence Requirement 5. Examination • Online through your website login (CCP) • 50 questions • Wrong answer? Return to Guide to reread section and answer again • Unlimited time; unlimited tries; no cost • Informed through program when passed • Must get 100%

  7. Jurisprudence Requirement 6. When do I start? • Before transfer to Full Registration • Email reminders: Every 5 years to coincide with 5-year Criminal Record Re-checks • First group starts November 2013
