OPUS OPUS In 2004, NGS registered the 100,000th OPUS user. OPUS allows users to submit their GPS observations to NGS, where the data is processed to determine a position. It is estimated that each OPUS solution saves the user, such as a professional surveyor, approximately $600 over traditional positioning methods.
