  3. TLC ICCD Camera “Ooh, pretty!” TV Monitor Aurora Old TLC system Power to camera, controls gain, etc. Light-sensitive Switch Disadvantages: • Tapes need manually changing (no remote running) • Tapes are expensive • S-VHS tapes getting hard to find • S-VHS quality isn’t great • DV and S-VHS clocks drift Aurora “Photonics Science” Box Controls power Digital video tapes. Changed every 3hrs. 25 fps, high quality. Radar runs etc only. DV Recorder S-VHS video tapes. Changed every 20hrs. 5 fps, low-ish quality. Normal campaign run. S-VHS Recorder

  5. SIF RAID array and server • 6TB RAID array, with redundant disks • TLC computer has 300GB storage • lasts ~22 hours @ 25fps, ~2 days @ 12.5fps • TLC, HiTIES (and phot) data archived off to RAID array • Server has LTO-2 drive – data written to tapes

  6. Website – sif.unis.no • Running on SIF server • Similar to ASK page – some update scripts and php code were based on ASK, but have been made more efficient • Contains automatically updated tape listings and RAID contents • Real-time status page with HiTIES image, TLC image and keogram, and photometer plots • Keogram “diary”
