IPv6 Networks Taiwan • Moving steadily towards IPv6 • 2200+ /32 IPv6 address blocks allocated to the production network • Total bandwidth of physical circuits in Taiwan: • Domestic connectivity: 11.5 Gbps • International connectivity:11.13 Gbps • Backbone networks that are IPv6 enabled • R&E Networks • TWAREN / TANet2 (since March 2004) • TANet • Commodity Networks • Most major ISPs network backbone already enabled IPv6 function: HiNet, SeedNet, TTN, TFN, Gigamedia… • GSN (Government Service Network operated by Hinet) Deployed in 2005 with four core nodes on trial • There are two IPv6 exchange centers
