  7. As you look • Taiwan is a small island. • Most of the major universities have IPv6 capabilities. • Most of the ISPs exchange the IPv6 traffic with each other.

  8. Why not much traffic in Backbone ? • No one use IPv6 ? • Have you tried to provide any services out of campus? NO ! It is localized. It’s just because most of the services in within their own campus. Sure ! We have tried to do that . We are going to have even more ….

CampusV6 • School is a nice trial environment. • It can be managed by one Department. • It can be well designed. • High-bandwidth. • 802.11 • 802.16 • Students would be encouraged to try the new technology. • Students could play with the technology.Maybe they will show us the killer app that we have never thought about . By the way, one of the sub project “dormV6”. Around 200 students use the pure IPv6 network. …. Life will Find It’s Way .

PersonV6 • In the future, no one would like to stay still to get info. • Everyone wants to get info in a mobile and secured way. • We want to get multimedia services in mobile environment. • We want to communicate with everything in mobile environment.No more NAT! No more agent keeper.IPv6 provide the simple P2P communications in mobility.

  21. Cooperation • In the past.. We have done it before. • Co-work with many partners… • Now, we stand here to discuss the future plane for IPv6. • In the future, we hope we can conduct more practical cooperation.

Practical Cooperation • We should try to • Provide the single IPv6 solution. • If someone have done it, write it down and publicize it. • If no one have done it yet, let’s do it. • If someone is doing something worth to do ! Give him a hand or avoid doing the same task. • Setup a common demo campus . • People use IPv6 daily, 24 hr /a day, 7days/ a week.We must have a pure IPv6 testbed to gather the problems and comments.
