Ongoing and Planned Policy Activities • Harmonisation of the national legislation to MSFD • Sectoral Strategies (agriculture, infrastructure) • International Projects (EMBLAS, EUWI+) • Development of the National Marine Strategy • Development of the ICZM Strategy • Development of the Ballast Waters Management Strategy

Cooperation • At the National Level: Inter-institutional Working Group on Integrated Maritime Policy (ministries: environment, european&euroatlantic integration, agriculture, economy, regional development and infrastructure, finances, internal affairs, defense, energy, justice, foreign affairs; Government of Ajara AR) • At the International level: DG MARE Black Sea Commission BSEC

  5. Proposals for the Follow-up Steps • EU assistance for development IMP in Georgia • EU support for marine research in the Black Sea • Establishment of the Facility for blue economy development & maritime policy in the Black Sea
