Patty Glaser, Ph.D., Head of School Jesse Watson, Ph.D. Principal Sharon Preen, Curriculum Division Head ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL • Early Arrival: 7:00-7:40 - Before Care or Breakfast Students: (starts 8/26/13) • 25th St. Cafeteria entrance – Walk through single gate at walkway • Route: Veterans to Mississippi take right on to 25th St. • Arrival: 7:45-8:10 – Carpool in parking lot horseshoe on Maine Ave. Carpool Route: Veterans to Mississippi St. take a right on 26th St.; left on Maine; enter parking lot horseshoe, pull close to car in front of you, by a numbered cone, and drop students from passenger door on signal. Since 10-12 students will be dropped at a time, do not move until signaled. NO passing in car pool line • Morning Assembly: 8:10am – On the Blacktop behind parking lot • Gates are locked at 8:10. From that point on a student is considered tardy, and must enter through the front lobby. • Principal’s Welcome, Pledge of Allegiance, Pledge to Honor KDHSA HEART. • Dismissal: PreK-K (without older siblings) – 3:10pm • Carpool on 25th St. – Enter from Veterans to Mississippi take a right on 25th St. Have your placard with Student Last Name & Number hanging from rear view mirror. Teacher on corner of 25th will take name and “runner” will bring names to prepare your child to be in position when you pull up. • PreK/K with older siblings & 1st -6th– 3:30 dismissal from the Maine Ave. horseshoe. Enter Veterans to Mississippi, take a right on 26th St. and a left on Maine Ave. Have your placard with Student Last Name & Number hanging from rear view mirror. Teacher will take names from entrance of carpool down to 26th. A “runner” will bring names to blacktop so those children can be positioned by a specific cone number. Pull close to car in front of you by a numbered cone. Your child will be waiting by that cone as you pull around. • Students not picked up by 3:45 will be sent to After Care and a drop-in fee will be assessed. All Carpool Drivers must have an 8x11 placard with their last name and assigned number written in large black letters on dashboard of car. • Bus Transportation is limited and carpooling is encouraged to funnel more funding to classrooms. Bus service is contracted through F. Wells Transportation.
