  1. Henry Hudson Taylor, Mr. Lee’s class, Dec. 2010

  2. Early Life • Much is unknown about his early life except for that he dreamed of sailing since he learned of the new world.

  3. First Voyage • In 1607, Hudson prepared to set sail for the first time. • Then in May, 1608 he and a crew of 10 men set sail. • He was looking for the North West Passage.

  4. Voyage the 2nd • In 1609 some merchants hired Hudson for an expedition. • Again he headed north, though more so this time.

  5. Where he went • In 1608, he went to north but was forced to turn back due to harsh conditions. 2nd 1st

  6. Death • No one knows exactly how he died. • They took him and threatened to kill him if he didn’t leave. • But we’ll always remember Henry Hudson for finding the Hudson River.

  7. Special project • For my special project I made his 3rd ship, the Half moon. I used a block of wood, power tools, normal tools, paper, and paint.
