Should we send out an abstract? We’ve got material based on MAMMA previous work on: Testing resistive micromegas at Demoktiros, Garching Tandem facilities and at the C.A.E. Orphee reactor Possible Abstract (deadline on 27.09.2013): The Muon ATLAS MicroMegas Activity (MAMMA) focuses on the development and testing of large-area muon detectors based on the bulk-Micromegas technology using the resistive protection scheme that has been developed. These detectors will be used in the upgrade of the ATLAS Muon system in view of the luminosity upgrade of SLHC at CERN. The response and sparking properties of resistive Micromegas detectors have been successfully tested in a mixed (neutron and gamma) high radiation filed supplied by the Tandem accelerators at N.C.S.R. Demokritos in Athens and Garching in Munich. Also the resistive Micromegas have been exposed at the C.A.E. Orphee reactor neutron facility for ageing studies. During those exposes the resistive micromegas shows no signs of deterioration in their performance.
