  3. Illustration • Tim told his friends something exciting. The university had awarded him a scholarship. The scholarship committee sent him the news yesterday. Tim showed me the letter. It gave him all details. Each month, the university will mail him a check. Then he must pay the university the required fee. The university has given Tim a very great honor.

She considers political activities nothing but hard work. Hiroko finds them great fun. She found the lecture interesting. Lorraine thought it rather boring. The League of Woman Voters may elect Hiroko its next president. Lorraine will not envy her.
