Who needs our help? • Over 500 students at St. Lawrence School • Water for cooking, cleaning, washing, and drinking needs to be collected • St. Lawrence School needs more water towers to store the water
How is St. Lawrence School like Old Mill School? How is it different?
How to get to school… Most students at Old Mill ride the bus. In Uganda, they walk to school.

Eating Lunch At Old Mill, we eat in the café. In Uganda, the children usually eat outside:
Learning new things… At Old Mill, we learn new things every day! In Uganda, students learn new things every day too!
Recess time! On nice days, we play games outside. In Uganda, students play games and dance outside during recess!
Library We have a library in our school that where we can check out books. At St. Lawrence School in Uganda, they have a library too!

Kitchen This is what our kitchen might look like: In Uganda, dishes are kept on a rack outside. Their stoves use a wood burning fire to get warm.
Shower/Bathroom When we take a shower, it uses a lot of water. In Uganda, they shower outside and use very little water.
Laundry We have washing machines that use lots of water so we can have clean clothes. In Uganda, they wash their clothes by hand using very little water.
Where to Sleep You sleep in a comfy bed. In Uganda, parents usually have a bed. If a kid does, they’re lucky. Some kids sleep on the floor.
Washing Hands We wash our hands in a sink. In Uganda, they have a hand washing station.
Bike Riding We ride bikes for fun. In Uganda, they ride bikes to get from place to place.
