The American Flag has 13 stripes. • Seven are red and 6 are white. • There are also 50 stars. • The stripes represent the original colonies. • The 50 stars represent the 50 states. • The flag was designed in 1777.
The Liberty Bell is the symbol of FREEDOM. • The bell was cast in England London 1752. • The bell cracked when it arrived in the US. • It was mostly made of tin and copper. • A second bell was made and it too became cracked. • The bell was last rung on Feb. 23, 1846 for George Washington’s Birthday.
