The Power of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) • CBT is a psychological, rather than medical, treatment • CBT has been shown to be more effective than pharmaceuticals over time • For example, over a one-year period, tested with groups that experience significant intersectional stress, such as subjects from low-income backgrounds, people of color, women • Digital mindfulness applications such as Calm and Headspace may act as a proxy for CBT
